Agents Pro Tips
Smart ways to get more from every Agent you run
By now, you’ve learned what Agents are, how to configure them, and how to run them. This section is your cheat sheet — a collection of time-saving habits, power features, and expert tips to help you get the most out of Ongage Studio’s Agent system.
Naming Conventions That Keep You Sane
- Use descriptive names that combine purpose + timing:
“Weekly Quote Check – Mondays”
,“AI Digest Blog – Short Form”
- Include the format or audience in the title if you’re managing multiple campaigns
- For chained Agents, add a step number or content type for clarity (e.g.,
“1. Blog Draft” → “2. Humanized” → “3. SEO Block”
)
Template Smarts
- Save common Agent configurations as templates
- Use cloned templates with slight changes for different campaigns, voices, or clients
- Standardize naming and tag rules so new team members can jump in quickly
Input Field Tricks
- You can paste in long-form prompts, outlines, or even partial drafts as input
- Agents will accept content from other Agents (e.g., summarizer input = article draft)
- Use Datastreams to automatically populate prompts with the latest articles or quotes
Chain with Confidence
- Always test each Agent step manually before chaining them
- Insert a humanization step between writing and publishing to reduce AI detection
- Use quote verifiers and source extractors mid-sequence to boost editorial accuracy
Troubleshooting Tips
- If an Agent fails silently, check for:
- Empty or malformed input
- Source URLs that lead to paywalls or redirects
- Datastreams with no qualifying content
- Re-running an Agent often fixes edge cases due to temporary fetch or formatting issues
Use Labels and Tags Effectively
- Add consistent tags for campaigns, clients, or content types
- Schedule filters by tag to batch-run Agents for similar projects
- Use site-level labels to organize Agents and outputs cleanly
Build Your Own Agent Library
- Start small with just 3–5 high-use Agents
- Add new ones slowly as your strategy matures
- Organize by category: writing, refining, verifying, formatting, publishing
