What Are Agents?
What Are Agents?
Modular, specialized tools that power everything in Ongage Studio.
Agents are the core of Ongage Studio. Each one is a self-contained AI unit trained to perform a single, well-defined task, like writing a blog post, generating a subject line, verifying a quote, tagging metadata, or crafting a CTA.
You don’t prompt them. You configure them. Each Agent runs off structured inputs and produces consistent, high-quality results that match your voice, tone, and content goals.
Think of Agents like expert assistants, each trained to do one job extremely well. In the app, you’ll find them on Run Agent, where you can filter by category, search by name, and click Start Agent to begin.
Why Agents, Not Workflows?
Most content platforms rely on rigid workflows. Studio doesn’t. It uses a modular Agent system, which means:
- You can run one Agent or combine many
- You can swap inputs, Brand Voices, and Data Streams per Agent
- You can test, refine, and scale with no fixed automation paths
Whether you’re creating a 1,000-word article or a 6-word subject line, the process is the same: pick the right Agent, fill out the form, and click Run.

Inputs, Not Prompts
Here’s the big difference from generic AI tools: you don’t write a freeform prompt. You configure the Agent with structured fields like topic, source URL, target keywords, target audience, or Brand Voice. Because inputs are consistent, outputs are consistent.
Can Agents Generate Images?
Yes, but only some. Certain Agents include built-in image prompts, which means they can generate images using your inputs, like a product name or article description. Others are strictly text-based.
- If an Agent supports image generation, you’ll see an image toggle or image prompt field during setup. Turn it on to receive images with your written content.
- If there’s no image control, the Agent is text-only.
Tip: Want images? Use Agents like Listicle Generator or Blog Post Generator, which include an image prompt in their configuration. Skip image toggles for text-only Agents like SEO Block Generator, since they don’t output images even if toggled on.
How to Use an Agent
Every Agent follows a consistent pattern:
- Choose an Agent
Select the right Agent for your task from Run Agent or the Create Content menu. - Enter inputs
Fill in the required fields, usually a topic, product description, source article, or Data Stream. - Apply your Brand Voice
Pick a predefined voice profile to shape tone, sentence style, and vocabulary. - Add optional Data Streams or image prompts
For source-backed content, connect a live Data Stream. If supported, enable image generation. - Run the Agent
Click Run Agent to generate your content and review the result in the preview screen.

Where Does the Output Go?
Every time you run an Agent, your results are saved under My Content with key context, including:
- The Agent name
- Run time
- Associated Site
From there, you can:
- Preview and edit the result
- Export or copy the content
- Rerun the same Agent with different inputs
- Use outputs in Newsletters or Article pages
And it maps cleanly to the sidebar:
- Agents shows your run history, run times, and credits used, and lets you rerun or edit.
- Articles stores article-type content for review, editing, and publishing.
- Outputs collects everything produced by every Agent, across types, with filters and search.
Pro Tips
- Mix and match: run a Writer Agent, then send the result through an Optimizer or Utilities Agent.
- Keep voices handy: set up a few Brand Voices so you can swap tone without rebuilding inputs.
- Feed it smartly: attach a Data Stream when you want timely, high-signal source material.
